Flag of Zambia
The flag's colours and symbols are rich in symbolism. A green field with an orange coloured eagle (African fish eagle) in flight over three vertical stripes. The eagle is also appears in the national coat of arms of Zambia. Green color symbolizes Zambia's lush green vegetation and agricultural resources. Red represents struggles of people for freedom. Black is for its native people and orange for its mineral wealth (primarily copper). The eagle describes the freedom and people's ability to rise above the nation's problems.
